Article Withdrawal Policy
JETI: Journal of Education Technology & Innovation recognizes that article withdrawal requests represent a significant waste of resources, including the substantial time and effort invested by editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher in processing and evaluating submitted manuscripts. Therefore, the journal maintains a strict withdrawal policy to ensure the integrity of the scholarly publication process and to protect the contributions of all parties involved.
Withdrawal During Peer Review
Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript while it is under peer review by submitting a formal written request via email to the editorial office, clearly stating the reasons for withdrawal. However, authors must understand that withdrawing a manuscript from JETI after it has been accepted by another journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is considered a serious violation of publication ethics. Such dual submission practices undermine the peer review process and are strictly prohibited.
Withdrawal After Acceptance
Withdrawal of a manuscript after editorial acceptance for publication is strongly discouraged and may only be granted under exceptional circumstances. Authors who request withdrawal after acceptance must provide substantial justification and will be subject to the following consequences:
Publication of Withdrawal Notice: A formal withdrawal notice may be published to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Blacklisting Policy: Authors who refuse to pay the required withdrawal fee will be permanently blacklisted from submitting future manuscripts to JETI. Additionally, their affiliated institutions will be notified of this action.
Retraction of Published Work: In cases where withdrawal occurs after online publication, the article will be retracted, and previously published articles by the same author(s) may be subject to review and potential removal from the journal's online platform.
This policy is implemented in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and best practices in scholarly publishing to maintain the journal's credibility and protect the integrity of the peer review process
