Journal History
Al-Biruni: Journal of Mathematics and Mathematics Education (AMEJ) published its inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1, in February 2025 as a national scholarly platform dedicated to advancing research in mathematics education. The establishment of AMEJ marked an important step toward supporting high-quality academic communication and encouraging innovative studies that contribute to the improvement of mathematics teaching and learning in Indonesia.
From its first issue onward, AMEJ has been published twice a year, maintaining a rigorous review process managed by the editorial board. Every submitted manuscript is evaluated based on originality, academic significance, and adherence to the journal’s standards. Only manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and that meet the journal’s criteria are accepted, ensuring strong scientific credibility and integrity.
Since its founding in 2025, AMEJ has aimed to disseminate research findings as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, welcoming contributions from lecturers, teachers, alumni, and experts in mathematics education. With regular publication cycles every February and August, the journal continues to grow as a reliable source of knowledge, strengthening the research culture and supporting professional development in the field of mathematics education.
