Kearifan Lokal Masyarakat Dusun Sumberasih Desa Sumberarum Kecamatan Songgon Banyuwangi Terhadap Kelestarian Hutan

Abstract

Forests are one of the most important ecosystems for the survival of living things on earth. Forests have extraordinary benefits in an ecosystem. Forests in Indonesia are decreasing every year as a result of land degradation, causing several ecosystem disturbances which greatly impact the survival of living things. Consequence . silat school in Jember Regency. The habit of the Sumberasih people who always strive to preserve the forest for their survival so I took the example of the Sumberasih people. This research is a research that uses qualitative methods with descriptive research types. The subject of this research is focused on the community and parties directly related to forest conservation. Informant selection technique using purposive. In collecting data, namely by using observation, interviews, and document studies. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the Sumberasih community works together with Perhutani in forest conservation, namely by providing land on the edge of the forest which is used as watercress land, so that the community is able to protect the forest for the availability of water to irrigate their agricultural land.
