Abstract

The researcher took the title based on the background of several obstacles in implementing Civics learning at MTs MabdausSholah. The implementation of learning does not attract students' interest, students get bored memorizing learning concepts and many student learning outcomes do not meet completeness standards. The purpose of this research is to apply the jigsaw learning model and to find out whether jigsaw in Civics learning can improve student learning outcomes in class VII A and VII B MTs Mabdaus Sholah. This study uses Quantitative Research. The subjects of this study were 37 students. The instruments used include observing student activities, jigsaw assessments and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique used is t test data. The results of the research that has been done show that there is an increase in the process and student learning outcomes as follows: seen from the average results of the pretest and posttest scores, there has been an increase from the initial average learning outcomes of 52.57% to 64.46%. From comparing the probability value (sig) with a significance level of 0.000 <0.025, H0 is rejected. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the jigsaw learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students of MTs Mabdaus Sholah.
