AUTHOR GUIDELINES

International Journal of Pedagogical Research and Digital Learning (IJPRDL)

1. Scope and Focus

The International Journal of Pedagogical Research and Digital Learning (IJPRDL) publishes peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary research articles dedicated to advancing knowledge at the intersection of pedagogical theory and digital learning practices. Areas of interest include:

  • Pedagogical research

  • Educational research

  • Technology-based learning innovations

  • Development and evaluation of digital learning media and platforms

  • Digital literacy in educational settings

Manuscripts must be original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under review by another journal.


2. Types of Articles

IJPRDL accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles (Systematic/Scoping/Literature Reviews)

  • Conceptual or Theoretical Papers


3. Language

All manuscripts must be written in English using clear, concise, and formal academic style.


4. Manuscript Preparation

4.1 Document Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

  • Paper size: A4, margins 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced

  • Paragraph: Justified alignment

  • Length: 6–10 pages for original research articles

4.2 Title

  • Maximum 20 words, in Title Case, bold, centered

  • Optional running title (maximum 50 characters)

4.3 Author Names and Affiliations

  • List all authors’ full names (without academic titles)

  • Provide institutional affiliations and countries

  • Include corresponding author’s email and ORCID ID

  • State authors’ contributions using CRediT taxonomy in a separate section

4.4 Abstract

  • Written in English, 150–200 words, single paragraph

  • Structured with Background, Aim, Methods, Results, and Conclusions

  • Use Times New Roman 10 pt, single spacing

  • Keywords: Five (5) relevant keywords separated by commas using standard international terms (e.g., MeSH)

4.5 Structure of Manuscript (IMRaD)

  • Introduction: Background, research gap, novelty, and objectives.

  • Methods: Study design, participants, instruments, procedures, data analysis, ethical approval, and data availability statement. May include formulas, tables, diagrams, or flowcharts.

  • Results and Discussion: Present data clearly using tables/figures and provide deep analysis comparing findings with previous studies; discuss novelty, implications, and limitations.

  • Conclusion: Summarize main findings, highlight contribution, and offer recommendations/future research.

  • Acknowledgments: Credit institutions or individuals who supported the research.

  • Authors’ Contributions (CRediT)

  • Funding Statement

  • Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Data Availability Statement (if applicable)

4.6 Tables and Figures

  • Tables use only horizontal lines; captions placed above tables.

  • Figure captions placed below figures.

  • Provide high-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi).

  • Ensure tables/figures are numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

4.7 References

  • Follow APA 7th Edition for in-text citations and reference list.

  • Minimum 20 references for original research; more for review articles.

  • At least 80% from primary sources (peer-reviewed journals) within the last 5 years.

  • Include DOI or URL for online sources.

  • Use reference managers such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  • Examples:

5. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that all research involving human or animal subjects complies with ethical standards. Provide the approval number of the institutional review board or ethics committee. State clearly in the manuscript if ethical approval was not required and explain why.


6. Originality and Plagiarism

Submissions must be original and checked using plagiarism detection software (Turnitin ≤20%). Manuscripts must not have been published elsewhere or be under review by another journal.


7. Submission Process

Manuscripts are submitted online via the journal’s submission system. Authors must register before submission and follow the on-screen instructions.


8. Peer Review

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments.


9. Copyright and Licensing

Accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right of first publication.


10. Publication Fee

The Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 10.00 (approximately IDR 160,000) per accepted article.
